The National Visa (Type D) is required for stays in Austria between 91 days and 6 months. It also entitles the holder to travel within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

Requirements

Valid passport (minimum 3 months beyond planned stay)
Completed visa application form
Two recent passport photos (35x45mm)
Health insurance valid in Austria
Proof of accommodation in Austria
Proof of sufficient financial means
Proof of purpose of stay
Police clearance certificate from your home country
